Rotary Club of Parramatta continue to help raise funds for the Walk to Cambodia and Chapter for Change .    Not only did we provide matching funds, members also participated to personally raise much needed funds.

Rotary Say No to Domestic Violence walk is planned for Wednesday 4th December in Parramatta. We will walk from Parramatta Park to Parramatta Square where a number of speakers will be speaking on Domestic Violence to the Office Workers of Parramatta during their lunch time break. The walk will set off from the Park at 11.30 and arrive at the Square at 11.45, with the speakers kicking off at 12mid-day.   More details to follow.

Mental Health
First Aid Course

Rotary Club of Parramatta will be supporting Parramatta Support Groups with a MHFA course to enable responders  to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received.  Next course is Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th November 2024 @ Atura Blacktown withour Palliative Care Volunteers.

Folding Blankets at Medishare for Overseas

A Rotary Clubs work is never done, especially when it is all hands on deck. Rotary Club of Parramatta Inc enjoy doing their bit for the community and helping out Medishare in folding thousands of blankets to send overseas.

Adopt-A-Tree

It was exciting to be involved in the tree planting program at Nancy Bird Walton Western Sydney Airport today. A very productive day with a team of dedicated Rotarians from various clubs within our Rotary District.

Meet our latest KIVA loan Recipient. Maira (from Pakistan) Maira is a 34-year-old, married woman who runs a small boutique at home to provide for her family.

She purchases cloth from the market at low prices, sews it and then sells it to the people of her locality. She always has a great product selection to offer, and she earns a good income that contributes to her family's well-being.

Meet our latest KIVA loan Recipient. Shahida (from Pakistan) Shahida was living a tough life due to financial constraints. It became very difficult for her to bear the household expenditures with a limited income. She is a 40-year-old married woman who started the business of milk selling in order to help her husband.   

She has buffalos for milking purposes. She sells the milk in her area. Her business is doing well enough to pay for her family’s expenses.   She has 5 children. She is a dedicated mother and wants the best for her children. 

Cookies & Christmas Cards for Local
Nursing Homes

 (Santa's helpers included Club members, Honorary Members, Family andFriends of Rotary Club of Parramatta).
It was time for the Cookies and Christmas Cards Project for the local Parramatta Nursing Homes.
This project has now become a tradition for the club.
