Adopt-A-Tree

It was exciting to be involved in the tree planting program at Nancy Bird Walton Western Sydney Airport today. A very productive day with a team of dedicated Rotarians from various clubs within our Rotary District.
The club has donated for another 100 trees to be planted at the Nancy Bird Walton Western Sydney Airport.   We feel it is important to leave behind our green footprint for the future.

Meet our latest KIVA loan recipients Gantsetseg from Mongolia, a skilled seamstress with a decade of professional experience, is a single mother raising three children. Driven by the desire to have flexibility in her work schedule while utilizing her craft, she established her own business. She currently fulfills orders from 5 to 10 clients each month, creating custom garments and accessories tailored to their specific designs. Gantsetseg aspires to expand her business and ultimately establish a sewing factory. María is a skilled seamstress from Guacarí, Valle del Cauca, Columbia, with 40 years of experience. She runs a sewing workshop where she produces and repairs a wide variety of garments, offering personalized services and adapting to her customers' needs. Her workshop is equipped with a machine and tools she has acquired over the years; however, the size of her current machine limits her production capacity and the ability to create larger or more complex garments. This poses a challenge to meeting higher demand and diversifying her product offerings.

Weekend in Bathurst
To top off Rotary Club of Parramatta's visits to the Mayfield Gardens, Matt Moran’s Rockley Pub, and a couple of wineries in Bathurst, they had dinner with the three Australian Rotary Health Rural Medical Scholarship recipients.
Samantha, Gehena and Christo put down their study books for the night and shared their journeys with the club members over a great Vietnamese dinner at Anam.
